Alexander Shpunt is co-founder and CEO of Lyte AI, where he is building the reality layer for Physical AI. Lyte runs a vertically integrated stack, from custom analog and compute silicon to multimodal sensing hardware to LyteWorld, a continuously updated spatial data layer that grounds world models for robots and entire fleets. Before Lyte, Alexander spent two decades turning physical reality into machine-readable data. He co-founded PrimeSense, whose 3D sensing technology powered Microsoft Kinect. Apple acquired PrimeSense, and Alex went on to serve as a Distinguished Engineer there, working on perception and sensing technologies. The technologies he developed are used daily by billions of people around the world. He founded Lyte in 2021.
