Jérôme Monceaux is a French robotics entrepreneur known for building and scaling people-facing robots and experiences that blend usefulness with enchantment. He advocates for the seamless integration of technology into everyday life to improve it. He is the founder and CEO of Enchanted Tools, the creator of the Mirokaï. These character-based robots are designed to provide on-site assistance in care settings, offering guidance and reassurance to patients and residents while autonomously handling simple logistics to support care teams. Co-founder of Aldebaran Robotics (acquired by SoftBank Robotics), Monceaux helped bring the first widely adopted humanoid robots, Pepper and NAO, to market. These robots gained international recognition for their ability to interact with people in educational, therapeutic, and retail settings. Monceaux’s work helped shape standards for robot-assisted social engagement. Focused on creating empathetic human–machine interaction, he also founded SPooN, a software company that combines AI-generated languages with 3D avatars.
