Tal Cohen is Founder and General Partner of NextGear Ventures and Co-Founder of Drive TLV and Drive Europe. His work focuses on the missing operating layer of Physical AI: the trust, governance, permissions, and evidence infrastructure that lets AI move from pilots into real-world deployment. Through nearly a decade of work across hundreds of collaborations between mobility startups and global industrial partners, Cohen developed the habitat thesis, set out in the Founder’s Edition of his book, The Case for Habitat. His core argument: the next AI transition will not be won by the smartest model alone, but by the habitat that lets intelligence act safely, economically, and repeatedly in the real world.
