Craig Tavares brings over 20 years of experience in digital infrastructure and energy to his role as President of Buzz AI, where he leads the GPU Cloud and HPC data center business. A recognized innovator across the telecom, data center, cloud, and power generation industries, Tavares has a proven track record of driving growth and success in high-performance technologies.

His career began with the development of a metro fiber network and Internet service provider, Toronto Hydro Telecom. He then held several leadership positions at Cogeco, where he managed and expanded a global portfolio of 20 data centers, regional public clouds, global IP/MPLS networks, and HPC hosting services serving thousands of enterprise customers.

At Aptum, Tavares served as Head of Cloud, launching a global business offering managed DevOps, private and public cloud solutions, and partnerships with Microsoft Azure and AWS. He also led product and program strategy for third-party clouds and Apple-owned data centers, contributing to Apple's hybrid approach.

Mr. Tavares co-founded Kingston Co-gen, an independent power producer, where he led M&A, debt financing, and corporate development, acquiring and operating over 300 MW of natural gas generation and creating one of North America’s first HPC data centers connected to a power plant.
Additionally, he has advised and contributed to several scale-up companies in energy, HPC, big data, and AI. At Buzz AI, his leadership is instrumental in expanding the company’s HPC capabilities and delivering high-performance cloud solutions for demanding workloads.
