Richard was busy running his first software company whilst still at school and hasn't stopped since. He co-founded an early Enterprise SaaS company (winning the Queen's Award for Enterprise in 2015, acquired by UL Solutions in 2016), then built Trelica to help IT teams at companies like ByteDance and Elastic discover and manage their SaaS sprawl. Trelica was acquired by 1Password in early 2025 and has become 1Password SaaS Manager. In the Office of the CTO at 1Password, Richard now focuses on AI governance, bringing the same visibility and control that 1Password brings to human and machine credentials to the wave of AI tools and agents reshaping enterprise IT.
