Laura Connell is a Senior Partner at Atomico, the founder-built European venture capital firm. Laura is Head of Investments and leads Growth stage investments at Atomico, working with founders from the early scale-up stage through to the public markets. Prior to joining Atomico in 2022, Laura was an investor at Marcho Partners, a hedge fund investing in public global technology companies. Before this, she was an investor at Balderton Capital, investing in private late stage global technology companies. Laura started her career at Goldman Sachs, first in Investment Management and subsequently in M&A. Laura was a Fulbright Scholar and holds an MBA from Harvard University, a Sir William Paddy Scholar at University of Oxford where she read Philosophy and Economics (PPE) and an Assistant Researcher in the Brain Sciences Team in the Department of Medicine at Imperial College.
