Sam Rodriques is Founder and CEO of Edison Scientific, a company that is building an AI Scientist to automate scientific discovery. Sam received his PhD in Physics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2019, where he invented several new technologies ranging from nanofabrication to spatial transcriptomics. His work has been featured in Science and Nature magazines, and on numerous press outlets including CNN, TechCrunch, and the Economist. Sam has co-founded four other companies, and has received numerous national awards and fellowships, including being named one of Time Magazine's 100 most influential people in AI for 2025, and receiving the 2022 Allen Distinguished Investigator Award.
