EQTY Lab builds tools to reinvent trust in AI. As a serial founder, Jonathan navigates the intersections of media, tech, and policy. For over twenty-five years, he has navigated the intersection of media, technology, and policy as a serial founder, c-suite leader, and investor. Jonathan is also a fellow at Stanford’s Department of Electrical Engineering, leading research in applied cryptography as the founding director of the Starling Lab for Data Integrity. His work helped establish the field of digital authenticity. He teaches the first course on the subject at Stanford and has written standards for Adobe and the Linux Foundation that are used across civil society and industry to authenticate real-world and AI-generated imagery. He received a BA from UCLA in Information Policy, and MPhil in International Relations from Oxford University, St. Antony’s College
